Programming Coordinator

The Programming Coordinator, Multi-platform supports the New York Programming team in executing and implementing 7 day-a-week programming and promotional strategies across all Frederator Network’s digital platforms (VOD, Live Streaming, OTT partners, web, app, etc).  

This role has a heavy focus on driving growth to our YouTube O&O channels and Facebook platforms which cover topics related to anime, video games, cartoons, movies and TV.  Successful candidates should demonstrate a deep passion for pop culture and one or more of the areas above.   Typical duties include day-to-day scheduling, uploading content, monitor and report video performance, coordinating with production teams, troubleshooting issues with incoming programming, and other duties as assigned.  This position reports to the VP, Programming and Development

Responsibilities Include

  • Support programming managers in the development, execution and tracking of video programming, channel strategy, events, contests, giveaways and collaborations
  • Prepare and assist with daily scheduling and uploading video content using YouTube creator studio or other digital platform
  • Prepare metadata, tags, titles, descriptions, and associated elements for daily video uploads across O&O YouTube Channels, Facebook Video, and other digital platforms
  • Monitor and track performance of video content
  • Assist with research and audience analysis-driven deliverables, such as audits, reviews, current events and cultural trends
  • Coordinate  in-house asset and content creation between production and programming teams
  • Aid in the strategic development and oversee Facebook platform growth initiatives for related O&O YouTube channels
  • Assist with and/or create short-form video clips for social platforms (Facebook, Instagram, SnapChat, Twitter)
  • Collaborate with Social Media team on comment moderation, community management and general social media efforts across digital platforms
  • Create and distribute programming one-sheets for new programs, pilots or major programming initiatives.
  • Assist with writing copy for show synopsis, trailer descriptions, programming newsletters, creative briefs and paid media

Basic Qualifications

  • 2+ yrs experience working in digital media, YouTube or other VOD experience preferred
  • College Degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience in TV scheduling software, content management systems, and VOD scheduling is a strong plus.
  • Must have strong technical skills with expertise in Excel, PowerPoint and other Office applications.  Experience with Adobe creative suite is a strong plus
  • Experience with Social and Live video on Facebook strongly preferred
  • Must have very strong organizational and decision-making skills, as well as an eye for detail.
  • Must be a self-starter who can work independently but also can collaborate with others.
  • Must be able to follow up on projects through completion.
  • Must be able to prioritize, work well under pressure, provide innovative solutions, and hit deadlines.
  • Must have basic familiarity with social media best practices and marketing
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with others, both inside and outside of the company, and cultivate and maintain healthy business relationships with co-workers and partners.
  • On-camera or voice-over experience is a strong plus
  • Must have a positive attitude and be passionate about TV, anime, cartoons, video games and/or pop culture.

Network Associate

Frederator Digital is seeking a Network Associate, to help build and grow the Frederator Network. This position reports to the Senior Network Manager in New York City. This position is part time, with commissions included.

Responsibilities include:

  • YouTube Channel outreach and recruitment.
  • Sourcing and attracting candidates by using databases, social media, etc
  • Build relationships with the Frederator talent roster & occasional check-ins.
  • Collaborate with your peers to contribute and improve the overall recruiting strategy.
  • Arrange meetings with potential Frederator talent roster to seal deals
  • Counsel the candidate on Network benefits
  • Discover new talent and know the key content creators in the influencer space.
  • Special projects as needed

Programming Manager Digital TV

Frederator Digital is seeking a digital-native programmer to help us program online video and bring it to linear television. This position reports to the Vice President of Programming in New York City.

Responsibilities include:

  • oversight of the Frederator Digital, channel, and show brands including maintaining on brand identity and delivering on brand promises
  • creation and execution of data-driven programming plans for a roster of O&O channels according to Frederator Digital principles
  • generate original ideas and arenas for development of programming
  • will be assigned on-air programs under the guidance of the Vice President to review, provide notes on, and approval of show outlines, scripts, roughs, and polish
  • assist in workshopping and implementing new video content optimized for each distribution network/channel
  • act as liaison between the Frederator Digital departments (programming, production, and MCN) to streamline flow of information
  • recommend and implement best practices
    • prepare regular marketing reports, summaries and plans
    • meet and exceed monthly revenue, view, and subscription-based KPIs
  • lead and support research projects and create materials to help internal teams better understand audience trends
  • ensure consistent internal communications and reporting, including campaign documentation to other teams and management
  • lead integration of digital marketing strategy for O&O roster with marketing and paid media teams

Quantitative Business Analyst

Frederator Digital is seeking a real data hound to build our analytical support for the video programming, paid media, finance, and marketing teams. The position is new to Frederator and we’re looking for someone who can help our teams uncover critical insights across multiple business lines. We expect our quantitative business analyst to assess our programming and our strategic initiatives through the identification of key growth drivers across a broad set of channels, videos, partners, and platforms, particularly YouTube.
You will frame and structure solutions, analyzing data and applying critical thinking to make recommendations and inform major programming and business decisions. Using analytical rigor and statistical methods, you will mine through data to identify opportunities for Frederator, applying your analytical expertise to help advise strategy and optimize operations.
You will work cross-functionally with Frederator Digital’s programming, paid media, production, and marketing teams. Further, you will be responsible for coordinating how the findings and data are used and consumed: from distilling your analyses into actionable insights, preparing and circulating monthly reports, to presenting this information in dashboards.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and maintain Frederator’s key data systems
  • Research and analyze key business drivers, competitive environment, opportunities, trends, and operating metrics based on that data.
  • Execute sophisticated quantitative analyses and advanced modeling that translates data into actionable insights.
  • Analyze research data and synthesize raw information into insights, recommendations, dashboards, and regular reports.
  • Prepare presentations and clearly communicate findings from initiatives to senior management and to the broader organization.

Qualifications
Minimum qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree in technical or business fields or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience in an analytically-intensive role, such as management consulting, business intelligence or corporate strategy.
  • Experience with database query, SQL coding and analysis

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience or passion in consumer internet, media or online video industries. Loving cartoons is a plus, though not required!
  • Excellent spreadsheet software modeling and presentation software skills.
  • Expertise in the data analysis workflow (data mining, statistical analysis, etc.).
  • Ability to communicate and influence effectively by presenting data in a compelling way.

Marketing Manager – Frederator Networks

Frederator Networks is looking for a marketing manager to be on site in New York City (Chelsea/Flatiron office). This position manages all aspects of the earned and paid marketing campaigns supporting Frederator owned and operated brands, especially the video on demand channel Cartoon Hangover Select, including shows such as Bravest Warriors and Bee and PuppyCat, but also including Channel Frederator,  The Leaderboard, and many more. The marketing manager reports to the VP of Marketing. 

Responsibilities include

  • Write, and supervise the writing of, copy, as well as produce original content (videos, GIFs, infographics, live video, imagery, etc) that promotes Frederator shows for all of Frederator’s social media channels, including YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, Tumblr, and more
  • Plan messaging and marketing campaigns, calculate ROI on activities, and forecast budgets
  • Managing the company’s email campaigns and communicating about company brands through email marketing, including:
    • Analysis of current email marketing campaigns and making recommendations for improvement
    • Managing trigger email campaigns throughout the customer lifecycle to maximise sales
    • Writing and editing email marketing materials
    • Carrying out segmentation of the database and implementing remarketing strategies
    • A/B Testing on various email campaigns to establish the most effective
    • MVT Testing on email marketing campaigns
    • Tracking on email campaigns in order to guide improvements
    • Reporting results to other stakeholders
  • Generate creative ideas for promotion of Frederator productions, merchandise, live events, and talent via social and community channels
  • Supervise the activities of one social media coordinator; recommend new hires and participate in the hiring process
  • Work closely with the social media coordinators, brand managers, community managers, graphic designers, and interns to ensure content gets created and delivered on deadline
  • Work closely with marketing department leads on social media planning and strategy for marketing campaigns
  • Provide support in posting to social media channels as needed

Qualifications:

  • High-level understanding and experience (2-3 years) with social media tools and platforms (i.e. Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, YouTube, Tumblr, Reddit, related third-party software, etc)
  • Proficiency in Photoshop/photo editing
  • Proficiency in running email campaigns
  • Proficiency in graphic design
  • Proficiency in video editing
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong knowledge of Frederator channels, shows, history, culture, and voice
